Workshop Description

A Creative Hands-On Pottery Experience

Join us for a fun and creative 3-hour pottery session where you’ll discover the basics of working with clay and create your own unique pieces from scratch.

During the session, you will learn and practice hand-building techniques, allowing you to shape your own pottery piece entirely by hand. Once your piece is created, you’ll have the opportunity to decorate and personalize it using a variety of underglaze colours.

As part of the experience, you’ll also get the chance to try the pottery wheel and experience the basics of wheel throwing under guidance.

Collection of Your Pieces

Your pottery pieces will need to go through the drying and firing process before they are ready for collection.

All pieces will be ready for pick-up approximately 10 working days after the date of the workshop.

Please note that the firing process takes time, so pieces cannot be collected immediately after the session.

• Wear comfertable clothes

• Aprons are available but you can bring your own if you prefer

Experience Level

Beginner-friendly — no previous pottery experience is required.

Deena is a visual artist, ceramicist, photographer, and art history researcher with a passion for bringing creativity into everyday life. She has worked in numerous artistic workshops producing ceramic pieces and served as a Ceramics Artist at the Traditional Crafts Center in Fustat, where she honed her skills in traditional techniques.

Through her own artistic project, Deena creates contemporary ceramic works inspired by ancient Middle Eastern arts, reimagining them for modern living while reviving their original spirit of elegance and luxury.
